Definatly on my way to London on an international flight.
In a car? Honestly couldn't say but I've been off the clock in my Camaro, a Silvia, a few Commies and an Impala (thats not too impressive tho).

I have been very fast, in my own hands flying a plane , I was just co-pilot. Told to hold the plane level and stead as the pilot made a few course adjustments. just over 400km/h if you do the air-speed maths. On land well not yet but I plan to travel in the TGV fastest train in the world has done 515km/h but does about 300km/h fast enough for me in a train. As for car, it's only been estimated 270km/h as the car was off the 260km/h speedo. Was not driving just tellign the driver to go faster. I've onyl done 240-250, needle was on 250km/h but I don't think it was correct. It was near new VL turbo gauge cluster, re-set and more numbers for it's use. Still as I said doing 180km/h in a car when you can see the road under your feet that's scarry

Ok, I've been a passenger in a VN commodore doing 200km/h up a slight hill in Overdrive.
I've done 170 in my XD, 160 in my cortina and just recently ran my EA to 170 in 4th. Didnt want any attention so i slowed down, plus bouncy shock absorbers make it scary at that speed.

Hmmm... I've done about 150km/h past a commodore and a WRX on the highway whilst in a Porsche 924 ( turns out Commodore isn't racing the WRX...but rather he was waiting till we got back in to NSW territory ( highway into Canberra, south goes in and out of act/nsw territory).......bloddy unmarked police cars!!!
Had a drag on the highway against a gen111 VT commodore in my modded WRX (sold a while back) outside of Newcastle one night...After I eventually past him...I looked down at the speedo and was suprised to see 235Km/h That was my happiest victory as it was the turning point that four cylinders can still be faster than V8's out on the highway too.
My mate whilst we were in Dubai (UAE), met some of the Australian mechanics that worked for 'Top Secret'( japanese brand) in Dubai and they took him for a ride in one of their (rich sheik) customers Toyota Supra ( yes, it is the same one that Top secret's boss owned that broke 300Km/h+ in the UK)..It uses an extremely modified GTR engine with NOS and they got up to 345Km/h......I saw it......it's freakily fast. It's aceleration is such that you can't lift your head out of the head rest. |
