If by show stopper you mean looks + Performance then definatly show stopper.
But if your asking if we support RICE then i think the answer is fairly obvious

lol droopz, thats a good call...
im all for performance... dont really like going hardcore with looks as i generally buy a car that appeals to me. For example with the mx6 i really like the factory sleak lines of the car.. i dont want to alter the shape one bit, im all for some nice wheels and basic interior upgrades (wheel, knob, seats) but thats about it... other than that i prefer to increase the engine output whilst retaining drivability |

lol. by a show stopper i mena, nearly all appearance, with the bare minimum of performance upgrade ( dropped bagged kitted chromed out civic, with just an AEM intake)
and you guys know how i feel about rice. theres guys that can have all appearance, and theyre car look great. even ifthe thing dont even have a damn engine. but its how the driver presents the car. like one guy in town here. hes not a nice as hell looking civic. but the thing that makes him a ricer, is a 'NOS' sticker...... the thing is he doesnt have a nitrous oxide system. so he is a ricer. lol

no one expects a thing when they pull up next to my car.......you think the camaro's and mustangs would learn after the first two races....but noooo, they got to try again

How about show and Go
That said im not a fan of ridiculous body kits, GT wings, excessive use of stickers etc etc.
A while ago I would have said sleeper, but now that I only just stil have my licence I might not so much.
My car is heading a bit down the 'rice' path, with new paint and probably wheels after that. The paint was a neccesary thing though, and I decided that I might as well do it fell, and i think it will look a tad bit wierd with new paint and standard wheels so I think they will be next on the line.
Sleepers are a hell of a lot of fun though. My brother owns a R31 skyline RB20det with a few mods, goes damn well. Nice shock for people who dont know what they are looking for. |

i think the best way is to buy a car with already nice lines, and just spend on the engine (high hp). but a subtle kit is alright i surpose. if they r going to have a full mad kit and just some shitty in take and no mods at all than for sure it's a ricer. i hate them i am keeping my tx5 as stock as it comes and i will be blowing all the cars in townsville out of the water

90tx5 - are you zane?
I think i know a couple of other quick townsville cars in the build or which dont go out too much.
What about the black GTR-13 and lanes GTi-R? Im sure there would have to be few quick 8's lurking around too? |

Yeah, you wont have much contest on the front wheel drive scene, that i know of.
I havent seen anything run any quicker than a 14.7 at the drag strip out here and that was a yellow integra type R.
I think one of the quickest cars that comes and goes is a gold 626 that used to be out here, but is now out west or something I believe.
Did have 171kw's at the fronts, but that was with stock ECU and injectors, which I believe now are gone or in the process of going. I hear he is aiming for 220kw's at the fronts. |

Yeah, like I said though, if that gold 626 returns look out.
What size turbo you getting? I think Bob knows about the gold 626 too as he tuned it.
Have fun on the slip and slide that is townsville drag strip, i was spinning to 70 on 195 A539's. It is a very very poor track.
Who you calling fool anyway? |

90tx5 keep us posted on your turbo upgrade.. i hear the gt28's off the s15 are a good turbo (rated @ 280hp or is it 320hp), alternatively you can go for the gt25 turbo for less lag even tho none of them should really be laggey...
timtx5 the new paint looks great so far! cant wait till see the complete job!!
QUOTE | Side rear of car, rubbing strips will be going back on. |
does that mean what we see in the pics wont actually see the light of day
getting back on topic.. i really only consider rice a car that has alot of performance equipement that doesnt actually increase performance combined with a car that has no actual performance upgrades that necessitate those lil bits of equipment, ie adjustable GT touring wings, big shift tachos, nos stickers with no nos
i suppose a lil rice is ok.. just not on my ride |
