This is my new '88 Turbo which I was eying off at the dealership down the road from work, that night after a very long shift I hit a gutter and bent my control arm on the Ghia so I went and bought the turbo while I fix her up |
Modification Listing |
Exhaust System: |
2.5" From Cat-Back, Nice sound, Performs well |
Exterior: |
I've been looking at the '98 Subaru Liberty and really wanted the front bar for that on my Ghia I especially love the driving/fog light combo looks neat. Im gonna think about it some more |
Intake System: |
Cold Air pipe running to front left guard |
Interior: |
I transferred the nice Ghia interior into the turbo so pretty much only thing that the Ghia has that the Turbo doesn't is the cruise control |
Rolling Stock: |
Stock Rims with slightly lower profile rubber my next investment will be some nice rims. |
Stereo System: |
- Clarion DXZ646MP MP3 Headunit
- 2x Clarion SRW1283 Subs
- Clarion APX400.4 Amp
- Clarion 6x9's In The Parcel Shelf
- Boss Audio 4" Split Components Front
- Boss Audio 6" Split Components Rear
Was the first and most important thing that needed to go into my car :D |
Suspension: |
Lowered Pedders suspension (still in the Ghia, will move them over when I get time) |
Turbo/Intercooler: |
Stock IHI Turbo with stock cooler (hope to upgrade cooler and piping soon) also next investment is a BOV |

Performance Comments: |
These readings are just from a test using my mates G-Tech. This was in the wet too, I'll update as soon as I do a dry run, was pretty happy with it especially being in the wet. Almost matched his V6 VR Wagon |

Youve seen my car DJSTX5, (fordforums) and it has been pushed back from the front, (visible to the naked eye) so the bonnet and left front panel are out of alignment. My other TX5 has also been crashed, (TRY AND FIND ONE THAT HASNT) and you can only tell by looking behind the headlight. |

Thanks mate, yours too.
Well I was even just thinkin following the forum post set by SABBAi if I remember correctly? I might have a play with it get as much air force as I can.
Yeah I didnt think mine would be the only one, I just love the efforts that the guys put in to try and cover it up, the least the could have done was spray a little bit of black over the welds insted of black lecky tape
So keen for wheeelzz... I might go price some up this week
Hey Oldskool, whats your nick on FordForums? Ive probably seen it just cant remember |
