yeh well the pic there is when the previous owner had it, it was auto, he also sold the wheels, and the paint was in bad condition, then some one reversed into me so i would have had to spray the guard,bonit and door, i thought i might as well do the whole car a diffrent colour and take off the shitty side rubber things. if you seen it in real life this looks 10 times better. il get a pic of engine bay soon

zorb when you drove my car i think i had the boost off didnt i.. heheheh hehehe hehehe mate i drive it with max boost i can get the turbo whistles and the cooler coughs and even that whistle i put in there kicks in. yes it does shut off but you gotta know i got a boos gauge i know when it hits about 14 i release my foot, the computer will shut it off only when your doing low revs and turbo spools up so quick. eg: your doing 40km/h and your car is on third gear yes it will shut off coz you will reach maz boost quickly. but if you are givin it to your car and changing gear at high revs its not gonna shut off.. by the way yeh id like a computer chip too. you know that boost cut off limiter is only a little blug you can disconnect easily i just dont know where it is i got sum brain mchanic who wouldnt waste his time with my car he said its a little blug,. One question. just to be sure were you the asian guy who came down with his mate?

When you say that u "punched out the cat" does that mean u removed the catalyctic converter....coz if that is so its illegal.....and would not pass a RWC? just a thought....

YEah lilmiss it is illegal but if you punch out the cat and leave the casing no one knows not even the cops so it doesnt really matter alot of people do it I had it done on my last car. The cops ask to check but when the do they see the casing and think u have one...But yes to answer ur question with the Cat punched out it is illegal and will not pass a rwc.....but who cares it sounds good!!!

yep hes right i took it off punched out the filter stuff and put it back on.. facts say that thier most officient for the first 70 thousand kms or something and after that they are almost useless anyway (for most cars), i dont know where i read that,
yous talked about rwc,,, well guess what i got a yellow sticker on my window now,, gota get a rwc for the cops, many defects,
number plate, seat belt , seat, indicator, wipers, steering wheel, too low. all of these were bullshit except for the car being low 1 cm too low. i just did 200km/hr before faark im impressed with tx5 turbos at high speed they handle great and speed up to 200 in no time you dont see a sign of the speedo slowing down at high speed.

hey bro aren't the tx5's and mazda's limited to 180km/h? i'm quite sure that they are unless u have done something to ur car to take the limiter off.

Ado13, I'm not so sure that they are. There's a few guys on here that have said that they don't.

not 100% sure but a mate of mine has a mazda 626, 1990 model he clocked 180km/h and his car shuts down, anywayz my tx5 turbo is limited to 180km/h

I was on the way to ballerat in mine, and i got it up to 198km/h before i had to back off....
constant power all the way, i was very impressed at the performace of these cars at such high speeds...

It's possible that the pre 88 models are speed limited.

might be pre 88 cos i've had mine at 183 before i had to slow down cos of lack of road

And also I noticed that you are running standard pipes with you're front mount intercooler, What is the point of having a front mount with the standard pipes?

i was going to get a gtr. i went and looked at it. it was in bad condition. its still there geting fixed up.. ive changed my mind. i have to go overseas next month for a month then when i get back i got to get a little shit box car because im getting a job where i drive around all of victoria and im not doing that in a tx5. these are my reasons and i dont need you to try to be some detective.
Standard piping and cooler.. they were already on as i bought the car and they make a hell of a difference.. where is your tx5 anyway.

The front bar is the standard front bar on all tx5's he just cut it to amke room for the FMIC as far as I know...i looked when I went and test drove the car and its exaclty the same as the normal tx5 one just missing the entire centre bit.
