looks nice and clean, i like how the gauges have been placed in the spot below the head deck, looks nice n tidy. not sure about the km's on the clock tho, i bought mine with high kms (more than urs) and am regretting it now as it's coming close to that time when im going to have to either get the motor re-built or do a motor swap. neways, good luck with the car...nice choice |

The engine was very noisy with lifters going "tik-tak-tik" at one stage. I had a few people in Perth quoted me $2400 to rebuild the engine. So, I came across this Xado gel that claimed it revitalise the worn parts inside the engine. I was sceptical but for under $100, I'll gave it a go. It worked, my engine became quite after driven for 50kms.
I will push this engine block to as far as I can go before rebuilding. Same with my exhaust, it is still good currently but I will upgrade it when the time comes.

It looks really good. Good to see some stock looking TX5's around. Very sharp. |

I only had it tinted recently.... Keep my fingers crossed!!! Yup, a new exhaust will be my next step (or engine, depending which one needs rebuilding first!). Some people advised me to do only the muffler, some suggested the whole exhaust and muffler, some suggested remove the cat-converter, some suggested using a hi-flow cat convertor... |

for the best increase u will need to do the whole thing, turbo back, hi-flow cat and a striaght through muffler. as ur car is manual u would prob get best gain from a 3". mine is 2.5in and cost around $800 turbo back |

Hey Token - Cheers man, thanks for the info.
Bad news...
1. My heater core burst that day, resulting in leakage of air coolant on passenger site!!! My mechanic did a bypass, it's ok now but it needs to be fixed before winter. 2. Clucth is almost wearing out too ....

Repair Job - Update...
1) Heater core - Found a brand new brass/copper one for under $100. - KMart Auto will do the labor for $300.
2) Clucth kit - Found one for $175.00 - Kmart Auto will do it for $385.00.

Exhaust - Got mine upgraded from standard to 2.25" with straight through muffler. Just noticed my boost level have gone up from 10 to slightly over 11 psi! I went for 2.25" because I didn't want the car to be too loud. Will consider turbo back and hi-flow cat later stage.
BOV - I try not to go for the loud ones, so missus will never find out!!! If I opt for the GFB plumback, is it going to work well with Tx5? I am concern about other people having backfire problem. Any suggestions guys? |

Hi Qik_Tx5,
So far so good (touch wood), I haven't been stopped by Police here in WA over the dark tinted taillights. Actually, the picture appears darker than it is.
Did you tint yours yourself?
