Any one got and EF/EL and done a cam conv on it. I have an XR6 machined cam but am looking for something a bit more lumpy. Any suggestions.

Thanks

Yea i did my research and found that crow cams appear to be the most suitable. there are 3 stages, stage 1 and 2 need only minimal to no changes to the head and ecu, whereas stage 3 needs some big changes to teh flow in the head, timing and ecu. www.crow.com.au

(BTW stage 3 is lumpy as hell ...)

your local mechanic should have a problem? its the tuning with the cams that i would be more worried about? if you go to wild you will probably need a fuel pressure regulator to squeeze a lil more fuel in, u didnt need any sort of modz to your ecu/fuel system evil by any chance?

yea i am onto the fuel prob ATM ... ill will go and try to remap the system with a chip next if it doesnt solve the prob i gonna go and fit a malpassi asjustable fuel pressure reg that will get rid of it for sure (except if my fuel pump will give up on me ... mhm 600HP bosh pump here i come biggrin.gif). Anyhow fitting and dialing in of teh cams should be able to be done by and mechanic there is no bicki about it, but getting the ecu remapped/tuned is a bastard, especially u gotta run in teh gear first b4 u can do that ... so thats a fun time of driving biggrin.gif easy of course!
