Transmission Swap (ford Probe), Will It fit? |

I have 2 1990 Ford Probes. One is a 2.2 Turbo GT, and the other is a 3.0 V 6. The V 6 has a perfect body, but needs a transmission. The car was 200 dollars, as was the 2.2. THe 2.2 needs a lot of work. I'm planning on looking into information on the engine swap for that, or nickel and diming it together to build a nice car.
My question is. The turbo has a 5 speed, and the V 6 was auto. I have a chilton and according to it, the Turbo tranny will bolt up to the V 6 block. I have an automatic transmission with the V 6 but i'm not partial to auto at all (mostly because my girlfriend can't drive a standard.) Any input would be great, thanks a lot
