is it a bb t28 ceramic or steel? what housing are you using and what flange you using also what size dump does it allow?

Will be quite a lethal package (literally). Is that 11grand your spending cover the brake upgrade you will need, is that covering the alterations to pedal box to clear everything, and most importantly the suspenion upgrade, and trust me, if you have the clearance (doubtful) try fit a strut top to strut top strut bar. If i recall, the engine usually sits to high in that engine bay, so try ahve one that goes from the strut to firewall to strut fitted, i promise you will notice the difference.

Did you have to modify anything to fit it in and are they custom mounts. How much did you pay for the CA18DET and did it come with computer, wiring loom and turbo?

Posted by: calaisturbo on July 26, 2005 [ Car Profile ]

it did fit in but i had to change the mounts because the old ones were on there way out so insted of doing it in 12 months i decided to do it then.cost me around 6grand with the new turbo, the t28 fuked up.ya it came with alll the comp and shit.im getting it dino'd soon im hoping 180kws at the wheels.calaisturbo

I had a look around in Geelong and i found a CA18DET and a CA20DEt and they wanted $900 for non-turbo and $1500 for turbo and that comes with comp and wiring, does that sound about right with what you paid? 180Kw sounds very nice for a small pulsar. Good Luck!

shit that alright, but i had mine all rebuilt and a new turbo,etc...so all up (including labour, fitting)it was about $5790.wat u thinking about putting a ca in??

Posted by: LOW_TX5 on August 5, 2005 [ Car Profile ]

I was thinking of pulling out my 2.0litre turbo in my TX5 and replacing with CA18DET or CA20DET but i don't know what if any mods i will have to do, example engine mounts tranny, how high it will sit and so on...... it looks like a real tight fit in you engine bay.
