where did you get that front strut brace

hey texy im pretty sure ya can get front ones from the second gen mx6's drill new holes in them and they fit...otherwise whiteline make front strut braces for the tx5's but ya have to look under mx6's since there the same car..also if ya lookign for a rear strut barce take one out of the mx6 they'll fit fine..i have one in my car.

im on stock suspension atm and its shithouse ill be getting it lowered after i pay my folks off for a new motor (cooked my other one due to a busted water pipe) but afta drivin a tex on stock suspension i have every right to install strut braces too. the tex is shocking on stock any thing, my sisters celica is stock and it has a bigger airbox and even a bigger exhaust than the tx5 stock. your car is crazy, did you paint the dash black or did you get someone to do it

ive got another motor imported from japan, around 40,000 ks old could'nt go wrong im not repainting the dash cos if i do ill end up changing all the carpet and seat colouring too which is a bit too much $$ for my apprentice wages im in geelong anyway how bout you?

I might not have a Vortech Supercharged/ Intercooled V8 that puts out in excess of 600hp but I know for a fact my SS still holds its own on the street. hey zorb,i would need new piping 4 intercooler custom manifold etc. but thats not gonna happin now my car got hit at a shoppin centre the fuckers didnt even leave a note alarm was goin nuts no1 saw anything.oil catch can is sitting behind airpod.i have no internal work done yet but after the car gets respay'd i'll work on it.good luck wit ur catch ca pretty simple really bro.

zorb on my mx6 turbs, my catch can is connected to the top of the outside of the driver side stut tower by a bracket that connects to two of the bolts

hey man not much. i got tha strut for 250 its off a (lancer no mods needed)the leads r topgn the're bout 80,air pod was 150,and i used a lot of red conduit for all loose wiring and a shitload of red paint,the chrome mesh sleeves are bout 50 a pack but r a bitch to put on. good luck m8.

I was just wondering if you are running a air flow meter. If not, how did u get away with out using it.

If you run a EMS you dont need a air flow meter, my other tx5 had no airflow meter.

yeah only way really bypass the air flow meter is a full after market stand alone EMS cost probably 2grand+ with tuning etc...

hey man i got no air flow metre coz the microtech does all that also cuts speed limit and has a fuel cut defender only cos me 1200 fitted and is worth every cent.my car gettin resprayed soon by dr kustom black with red pearl and thinkin of what to get air brushed.

With Davies Graig thermo fans they come with 4 skinny bolts and nuts that have special place on the thermo and then through the radiator core.

ive got sum piping made up bout 2in but my cooler is 2.5 so i mite get sum flared or sumthing,ive found that my orignal piping on the car (inlet to turbo was plastic and i was trying to workout if i needed any of the lines runing to it)i might see how much an exhaust joint will make a copy of this plastic pipe.(aluminum or sumthing) , ive taken my condenser ,receiver ,condenser fan out which has left heaps of room at the front , which you can see i have pics of.

just lookd up the lines and shit i was taking off they are part of bypass valve.

How much did u pay 4 ur mallory fuel reg and has it got a mounting spot for fuel pressure guage? Is it easy to pull out the dash and put it back in..

yeah the dash is pretty simple to put in. the mallory fuel reg cost about 200 installed and yea i got a gauge in mine the 550hp fuel come was only 350 n together work real good trust me bro its worth doing.

Sounds good cause im in the market for a fuel reg, what is ur fuel PSi because mine is flowing between 38 and 39 PSi, also do you no if the F2T 2.2 litre head fits on the FE 2.0 litre block

hey bro, if you wanna paint ya dash 1st tape anything you dont want painted than sand it down than spray it with wax n grease remover. first coat use knh bumper coat its got a harding additive in it n it'll stop any crakin, than paint it what ever colour u want do at least 3 coats than after it dries do a few coats of clear just to make the mutha shine. good luck bro.

just curious bro. but where the hell does your intercooler piping go from the turbo to the intercooler, i have pulled the front of mine (cos i want to put on a bigger intercooler) and can not find anywhere suitable for the piping to go

it comes str8 up than it bends to follow the radiator and bends down near the water res. tanks. 2 very tricky bends. it does get a bit hot so i got some heat proof taping expensive stuff but it keeps heat away.my piping is 3" thick and just fits nicely. i'll try get some good pics of the bends for u bro.

sits 2 n a half inches lower, but does scrape a bit if ppl in the back. tx5s with standard springs looks like its got a fat arse so its worth it just 4 looks.

hey chief, i am looking at geting a catch can for my TX but i just got a coupple of questions bout ya catch can,

1) what does the hose from the top of the catch can to the front of the engine actually connect to?

2) where does the oil drain to from the bottom of the catch can?

oh yeah and where did ya fuse box that usually sits next to the battery run off to?

mmm Im lost what do ay mean where does the oil drain too..my catch can just holds whatever oil has been blown through it and I empty it like once a month...

hey fellas just lettin every one knoe my car was stolen on jan 15th (my birthday) and due to all the fuel line/pump mods my fuel gauge reads wrong so they thought they had a full tank but it was empty found it the next day, everything still there. a few new dints but thats it. and the pricks stole my birthday presents. but ha ha to them ay

thats lucky my dad had an old statesman just finished respray and engine rebuild took it to melb and got flogged in an hour, took seven days to find the car , half the motor was half stripped , they found it 3 kays away empty fuel tank but if they fliked over to gas they would have had 300 kays
