NYCVL's Comments:

This is my 1987 Holden VL Commodore Calais, 5 spd manual. It has an Aero bodykit, 17" S2 Chrome rims sitting on 235/45 silica tyres Its got Genie extractors, 3 inch exhaust, K & N pod filter with an intake kit, performance chip and a brand new black metallic paintjob. It sits on super low king springs with a 55 litre drop tank.

Modification Listing
Exhaust System:

The exhaust is a 3 inch pipe connected from the catalytic converter to the back. I haven't gotten around to welding a chrome tip to the ed yet. ( more pics soon...) The extractors are high performance Genie 2 1/2 inch. Awesome note in 2nd gear.

Exterior:

The bodykit is an Aero kit which was made in Parramatta, NSW. The kit looks awesome but i was told by a bodykit professional fibreglasser that the front bar was made just a tad too big and it has creases near the front indicator lights. The front bar also has mesh in the lower grill.

Fuel System:

The fuel tank was already installed when i bought it. Apparently the bloke i bought it off made the tank by hand, (shit welding job...)The tank is aluminium 55 litre and has two rubber strips that can be visible from the rear. He told me that he wanted the tank to look like he had installed NOS. Recently i gave it a good scrub with some steel wool and some Autosol.

Interior:

I haven't done a lot to the interior as of yet. So far all i have done is bought an Autotechnica gear shift knob, and gear vinyl pocket, Autotechnica racing steering wheel.

Stereo System:

I don't have any pics of my stezza yet but this is what will be getting installed into the VL very soon: A pair of Kenwood 6 X 9's 200 watts Pioneer 6 inch 220 watt component speakers Pioneer 6 inch 2 way 180 watt Kenwood 12 inch 700 watt subby running off a Kenwood 320 watt 4 channel amp. The component speakers will also be running off the amp. All this will be used by a Kenwood flip down head unit. Over $1300 worth!

Suspension:

The rear suspension are super-low King springs that look mad coz the car is sitting on its guts but its an absolute pain in the arse to drive. Almost every bump in the road makes me cringe. The side rear wheel archs have been belted out a little but i am gonna raise it a couple of inches. The front spring have been cut and are starting to bend.
